Advanced OBGYN is a premiere OB/GYN practice and has 4 locations in the Hunterdon/Somerset County.
The PSR will be responsible for greeting patients, registration and checkout of patients, and for providing support to patients and medical staff.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Greets patients and families to the practice, provides necessary registration form to the patient for completion and signature, reviews same for accuracy, updates patient information in Nextgen (E.
H.
R.
), and notifies staff that patient is ready.
Efficiently and timely answers the phone and directs calls to the appropriate staff or records messages.
Retrieves messages that are received via answering service, routes calls appropriately, offering voicemail, paging, or redirection of calls as needed.
Verifies correct insurance information via card, cap list or phone call to the insurance company as appropriate.
Explain financial requirements to patients; collect and record copays as required.
Collection of co-pay or payments for services at each visit.
Prints and advises patients of any outstanding balance and collection of this payment.
Using practice management system appropriately to schedule, reschedule and cancel patient appointments.
Maintains various logs of daily activity.
Totaling payments received and balancing with encounter forms.
Reviews for accuracy.
Pulling and filing of charts as needed.
Make charts for new patients.
Filing records in charts.
Performs registration functions for new and existing patients.
Schedules patient appointments per guidelines given and finalize patient schedules for previous day.
Maintain confidentiality regarding all patients.
Performing other duties as assigned by providers, coordinators and management in accordance with established office policy.
