SALARY:
The salary range for this position is $55,694.
69 to $90,333.
78 for Schedule A, and $55,694.
69 to $85,817.
10 for Schedule B.
For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range.
For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.
Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A.
Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule B.

The Somerset/Hunterdon/Warren Vicinage is seeking a professional candidate with strong critical thinking, customer service, project management, and interpersonal skills, who is committed to providing excellent administrative, written, and oral communication.
This position will serve as the lead in the Court User Resource Center in Hunterdon County, and as the Ombudsman 's partner in achieving the goals of the Ombudsman 's Office.
The position will involve learning/ implementing a vast knowledge of the judiciary processes, policies, and procedures, as well as keen familiarity with external resources.
The Administrative Specialist 3 must be able to provide accurate information and guide court users, both internal and external, through their questions and concerns across divisions, and make referrals to service providers including community, county, and state entities.
This individual will act as a point person handling challenging customers with matters that require scrutiny and/or attention.
They will provide information to judges, attorneys, and community organizations, and implement virtual outreach through educational videos.
Requires the ability to work with emotional or upset individuals on sensitive issues.
Qualitative and quantitative research via internal and external resources will be needed.
As work may be done in an on-site, remote or hybrid work environment the candidate must be able to operate effectively under these different settings.
Thus, the need for strong critical thinking, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
This person will draft articles that include synopsis of One Judge One School programs, other outreach events, the population impacted by the programs, along with statistics related to the Vicinage 13 Office of Ombudsman.
Develop manuals, forms, flyers, guides, presentations, and other materials for use with the divisional and community partners and directly with court users.
Edit and produce educational videos designed to inform the public about court related processes.
Additional duties include:
Developing and implementing operating procedures and systems, leveraging evolving technology- focused solutions.
Evaluating program performance in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Preparing technical, statistical, and evaluation reports regarding contacts, outreach, and court user satisfaction surveys, as well as ad hoc reports.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel to collect court user statistics is preferred.
Coordinating and facilitating programs and special outreach projects such as those connected to the One Judge One School program, and court tours.
Collaborating with community organizations and networks to educate about court processes.
Conducting presentations for court users on various topics including divorce, expungements, and related services provided by the Office of Ombudsman.
Proficiency in teams and zoom is preferred.
Developing strong relationships with judges, court executives, staff, and community contacts.
Partnering with the Ombudsman and division management on sensitive and/ or confidential matters.
Partnering with the Ombudsman to conduct investigations, responding to attorney, litigant, and citizen complaints.
Tracking complaints points to identify trends and explore opportunities to improve processes.
REMOTE WORK:
The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings.
To participate in this program, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in purchasing, facilities management, operations management, records retention, transcript services, jury management, statistical reporting, investigations and/or library administration.
Substitution:
Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.
An associate's degree and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
A master's degree may be substituted for one year of experience.
A law degree may be substituted for two years of experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
