_JOB SUMMARY_
Provides quality nursing care through application of the nursing process. Establishes guidelines of nursing practice. Practices within the framework of shared governance.
_MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
_ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. If associates degree or diploma must be enrolled in BSN program within one year of hire and completed within 5 years of hire.
_MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
_ 1 year acute care experience preferred.
_REQUIRED LICENSE, REGISTRY OR CERTIFICATION
_ NJ RN licensure, CPR certification is preferred. If not certified, certification must be obtained within six months of hire. Courses will be provided by Hunterdon Medical Center.
_SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED
_ Must participate in yearly competency based program and mandated inservice education. Unit specific skills may include but not limited to IV therapy, telemetry, Vent training, critical care, conscious sedation. Skills will be determined by a challenge exam and/or skill performance or by completion of a Staff Development course.
_DESIRED OR PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITY
_ Certification in specialtyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
