JOB SUMMARY
Assumes responsibility for providing holistic patient care in accordance with established standards of professional nursing care.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Acknowledges the individuality and uniqueness of each person. As a patient advocate, the nurse will provide age specific treatment and care. Professional practice will be evaluated through the Performance Improvement process. Commitment to Evidence-Based practice, Shared Governance, support of nursing research, practices confidentiality and acknowledges fiscal responsibility to benefit the organization as a whole.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. If associates degree or diploma must be enrolled in BSN program completed within four (4) years of hire. Certificate and/or Advanced Specialized or Technical Training in Critical Care required.
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum one year medical/surgical experience.
REQUIRED LICENSE, REGISTRY OR CERTIFICATION
Current New Jersey RN licensure. IV certification, American Heart Association CPR certification is required. ACLS certification is required.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED
Must pass annual unit clinical competency.. Ability to utilize hospital approved equipment. Ability to use, monitor and troubleshoot: digital volumetric pumps, thermometer, mechanical ventilators, BiPap/CPAP devices, IABP, Impella, temporary pacemakers, dysrhythmia computers, emergency equipment. Complete appropriate real-time nursing documentation of assessments, tasks, medications and notifications in the patient's Electronic Medical Record utilizing the hopsital's computerized documentation system.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITY
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Shows initiative and possesses critical thinking skills.

JOB SUMMARY
Provides quality nursing care through application of the nursing process. Establishes guidelines of nursing practice. Practices within the framework of shared governance.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. If associates degree or diploma must be enrolled in BSN program and completed within four (4) years of hire.
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1 year acute care experience preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSE, REGISTRY OR CERTIFICATION
NJ RN licensure and American Heart Association CPR certification is required.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED
Must pass annual clinical competency based program and mandated inservice education. Unit specific skills may include but not limited to IV therapy, basic arrhythmia interpretation, moderate sedation, ventilators,, BiPap/CPAP and EndTidal CO2. Skills will be determined by a challenge exam and/or skill performance or by completion of a Staff Development course.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITY
Certification in specialty.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
