JOB SUMMARY
Provides quality nursing care through application of the nursing process. Establishes guidelines of nursing practice. Practices within the framework of shared governance.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. If associates degree or diploma must be enrolled in BSN program and completed by December 2020.
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1 year acute care inpatient Pediatrics experience required.
REQUIRED LICENSE, REGISTRY OR CERTIFICATION
NJ RN licensure and CPR certification is required.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED
Must participate in yearly competency based program and mandated inservice education. Unit specific skills may include but not limited to IV therapy, telemetry, Vent training, critical care, conscious sedation. Skills will be determined by a challenge exam and/or skill performance or by completion of a Staff Development course.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITY
